Dr Emma Brown

Picture
Dr Emma  Brown is an astrophysicist who studies the magnetic fields of stars. Stellar magnetic fields drive space weather, including the solar storms that impact directly on our Earth and satellites. Emma’s research helps us to better understand and predict the conditions within our space environment. It also aids in the search for other planets orbiting distant Sun-like stars and helps us to determine if these planets could support life. Beyond her love for astrophysics, Emma is an enthusiastic STEM lecturer at CQU who loves sharing her passion for mathematics and physics.
