Ashleigh

Picture
Ashleigh works in Aurizon Network as a Senior Asset Performance Analyst and has worked across industries specialising in Analytics and leveraging data science solutions for the past 8 years. Prior to working with Aurizon, Ashleigh worked at CQUniversity in their IT and Business Intelligence teams in Student Learning Analytics. She has worked on multiple data science projects, from Predicting the likelihood of student success (passing their university units) to designing a statistical model to predict customer behaviour in the logistics industry. While studying straight Maths and Sciences in High school Ashleigh’s pathway to a STEM career wasn’t straight forward. She has worked across a number of industries and roles and initially completed a Bachelor of Public Relations, majoring in Marketing. Ashleigh finally found her passion in analytics, specifically statistics, while working at CQU and is now completing a Masters in Data Science with dreams to complete her PhD. Having been in Mackay long enough now to be called a local, she is passionate about supporting the next generation of Mackay and Whitsunday Region's based students, especially women, into STEM based careers.
